Was so upset that we were unable to buy one clay Pillayar for Pillayar Chathurthi. But that was all compensated yesterday when we went for Pillayar immersion procession in our nearby temple. I was also happy to knot the garland for the Pillayar.
Pillayar was placed in a small ratham. Was so happy I was also one among those who pulled the ratham till the river.
The ratham finally reached to the river. We had to pull the ratham across one big corn field and finally reached the sluggy, muddy river.
The Pillayar idol was taken from the ratham and was all set to immerse in the river.
After the final aarthi, the Pillayar was taken into the river with loads of chorus, "Ganapathi papa moriya, mangal moorthy moriya".
Final show before immersion
Finally, the Pillayar idol was immersed in the river. We were totally 150 people who participated in this procession. Had a great divine feel participating in this procession.
